Strata & Property Managers — Melbourne
Managing property means locksmithing on somebody else's timetable: a vacate that needs rekeying before the next inspection, a tenant locked out after hours, a common door whose key register nobody has updated since 2019. We work to that rhythm — one contact, work orders, and reports that can go straight into a file.
What this covers
- Rekeying between tenancies
- After-hours tenant lockouts
- Common-area and building entry keys
- Key registers and issue records
- Owners corporation restricted key systems
- Vacant property securing
- Reports and documentation for owners
How we work
Everything happens where the lock is. There is no shop, no counter and nothing for you to drop off — the key machines, the cylinders and the tools travel in the van, which is also why there is no closing time to work around.
You get the cost before any work starts. No prices are published on this site, deliberately: a real figure depends on the hardware, the door, the time of day and where you are, and a number on a web page would be wrong more often than it was right. What we will do is tell you on the phone what is likely, and confirm it in person before anything is touched.
We ask you to prove your right to the property or the vehicle on every single job, without exception. It is the same check that stops somebody doing this to your home.

Strata & Property — what people say
Locked myself out at 11pm with the baby asleep inside. He talked me through it on the phone, told me which van was closest, and had the door open without a mark on it. I was told what it would cost before he started, which at that hour is not what I expected.
Sarah M.Brunswick Rekeyed every lock in the house the week we moved in — front, back, laundry, garage side door — all onto one key. He also pointed out that the sliding door lock was basically decorative and sorted that while he was here.
Daniel K.Glen Waverley Lost the only key to my car in a basement car park. He came down to the car, cut and programmed a new one on the spot, no tow truck and no dealership. He asked for my registration papers first, which honestly made me trust him more, not less.

Strata & Property — questions
Can you invoice the agency rather than the tenant?
Yes. Tell us at the time of booking who the work order sits with, and the tenant is not put in the middle of it at the door.
Do you attend after hours for tenant lockouts?
Yes. That is when most of them happen, and it is the main reason a property manager keeps a locksmith's number rather than looking one up each time.
Can you rekey to a system so one key covers a portfolio?
For common areas and management access, yes, and it is usually a master key system with a restricted profile. Individual tenancies stay separate for obvious reasons.
Can you provide documentation for owners?
Yes — what was done, which doors, how many keys were issued and to whom. On a common-area key system that record is the system.
