What to have ready when you ring
For a lock
- The suburb and street.
- Which door — front, back, garage, or a building entrance.
- What happened: keys inside, keys lost, key snapped, lock stopped working.
- Anything urgent — a child or pet inside, a door that will not close.
For a car
- Make, model and year.
- Whether the key was a blade key, a remote or a proximity fob.
- Whether you have any working key at all.
- Where the car is parked, including the level in a car park.
You will also be asked to prove your right to the property or the vehicle when we arrive — photo ID and a lease, rates notice or registration papers. Every job, without exception.
