Fix Mate Mobile Services (“we”) provides mobile locksmith services across Greater Melbourne, Victoria. This page explains what this website collects and what we do with it. It describes this site as it actually is, not a generic template.
What we collect
Only what you type into the form. The enquiry form asks for your name, a phone number, what has happened and an optional note. It also records which page you submitted from, so we know which suburb or service you were reading about.
We do not ask for an address on the form, and you should not put payment details, identity document numbers or anything similar into the note field. Nothing on this site needs them.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics, no advertising pixels, no remarketing tags, no chat widget and no third-party trackers. It sets no cookies of its own. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The site is served by a hosting provider which, like all web hosts, keeps standard server request logs including IP addresses for security and operational purposes. We do not use those logs to build a profile of anybody.
Where an enquiry goes
A submitted form is delivered to us by email through a transactional email provider, and may also be stored in a database we control so that enquiries are not lost. Both of those services are bound by their own security obligations and are used only to get your enquiry to us.
We do not sell, rent or trade enquiry details, and we do not share them with anyone except where we are legally required to.
Identity checks at the job
Before opening any property or vehicle we ask you to show that you are entitled to it — photo identification along with a lease, rates notice, registration papers or similar. We sight those documents; we do not need to keep copies of them, and as a rule we do not.
This check is not optional and it is not negotiable. It is the same check that protects your home from somebody else asking a locksmith to open it.
How long we keep things
Enquiries and job records are kept for as long as we need them for the work, for warranty on that work, and for the period Australian tax and business record-keeping law requires. After that they are deleted.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing enquiries@fixmatemobileservices.com.au. If you are not satisfied with how we handle that, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes
If this site ever adds analytics or any other tracking, this page will be updated at the same time and the date at the top will change.
